This notice describes how IAM Electronic GmbH processes personal data on JESD204B.com and JESD204C.com. It is written in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / DSGVO).

2 · What data we process

Server access logs

When you visit this website, the hosting infrastructure automatically records technical information needed to deliver the page: IP address, date and time of the request, the requested URL, the referring URL, the user-agent string, and the HTTP status. These logs are stored for security and operational diagnostics for a maximum of 14 days, then deleted.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating a secure website).

Contact form submissions

If you submit the contact form, we process the data you provide (name, email, company, phone if given, topic, message) for the sole purpose of responding to your inquiry. The submission timestamp, your IP address and your user-agent are appended to the email for spam diagnostics.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent expressed via the form's checkbox).

Inquiry data is retained for as long as needed to handle your request, and beyond that only as long as required by German tax and commercial law.

Configurator inputs

The on-site configurator runs entirely in your browser. The values you enter (converter, FPGA, sample rate, lane count, etc.) are not transmitted to our servers unless you submit the contact form or click "Request production licence", in which case they are included in the email you generate.

3 · Cookies and analytics

This website does not use cookies for tracking, advertising, or cross-site identification. No tag managers, session-recording tools, or behavioural advertising scripts are loaded.

Strictly necessary technical state (e.g., navigation toggles) is held in browser memory only and is cleared when you close the tab.

Trackboxx Analytics

For basic visitor statistics (such as page views, top pages, referrer, browser and device class) we use Trackboxx, a cookieless, privacy-focused web analytics service (trackboxx.info). Trackboxx does not set cookies, does not create persistent cross-site identifiers, and reports only aggregated, anonymised metrics. Because no cookies are used, this site does not display a cookie banner.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in understanding how the website is used in order to maintain and improve it).

4 · Third-party assets

Two third-party CDN endpoints are used to deliver static assets:

• Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com) for the Inter and JetBrains Mono webfonts.
• jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net) for Alpine.js, used for tiny UI interactions.

When your browser fetches these assets, your IP address is necessarily transmitted to the respective providers. We do not control or share additional data with them. If you are concerned about this, you may install Privacy Badger or a similar browser extension; the site degrades gracefully (fonts fall back to the system stack, the configurator continues to work).

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

5 · Hosting

The website is hosted on shared infrastructure operated by Lima City / loswebos.de within the European Union. A data processing agreement (Auftragsverarbeitungsvertrag) under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting provider.

6 · Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• request information about the personal data we process about you (Art. 15)
• request rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16)
• request erasure (Art. 17)
• request restriction of processing (Art. 18)
• request data portability (Art. 20)
• object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21)
• withdraw a consent you have given, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3))
• lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77). The competent authority for our registered office is the Saxon Data Protection Commissioner (Sächsischer Datenschutzbeauftragter).
